El Dedo de Dios, Agaete.
Local folklore says that when El Dedo de Dios(God's finger) falls, the end of the world is nigh. In november 2005, the tail end of tropical storm Delta swept through the islands, uprooting trees and bringing down power lines. Even the divine digit succumbed and now lies at the bottom of the sea. It must have been a scary night for the people of Agaete.
