Section of La Alfombra (carpet) de Corpus Christi in La Plaza del Ayuntamiento in La Orotava on Tenerife. May 2008. It covers nearly 900 square metres and takes a team of 'Alfombristas' around a month to complete it. Only natural coloured earth/volcanic sand from the nearby Parque Nacional del Teide is used.
